RHEL-RT is a Red Hat project whose goal is to productize a realtime variant of RHEL5. The foundation for the product is the upstream work that we have been leading in the mainline Linux community to provide realtime capabilities. Red Hat sincerely believes that an open, inclusive, upstream approach is the only viable strategy to incorporating realtime features into a non-niche COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) operating system.
